Back in April, Lady Gaga and the world of Indian pop culture kicked off their love affair when Indian composers Salim-Sulaiman produced a remix of Gaga’s smash “Born This Way.” And Gaga kept the fire burning during a recent trek to the country.

On Sunday night at a Formula One afterparty in Greater Noida, Gaga performed a Bollywood version of her Born This Way single “Marry the Night,” according to Aceshowbiz.com.

“I feel like I’ve waited a long time to come here. And I feel very grateful,” she told the excited crowd at the party. “For the first time ever, I’m going to sing ‘Marry the Night.’ ”

Gaga sat at a piano and played a slowed-down version of the song, accompanied by a sitar. Before the show, in a chat with NDTV in New Delhi, Gaga described it as “a performance that is unique and specific just for India.”

In addition to performing the song live for the first time, she had another treat for her Indian fans, revealing for the first time some new details about her video for “Marry the Night.”

“Well, I can share exclusively with you that I directed this video myself. So this is my first directorial debut,” she told NDTV. Until now, she has co-directed with her Haus of Gaga and her creative director Laurieann Gibson.

“But it has been a wonderful experience. I worked alongside director of photography Darius Khondji, who is an absolutely amazing DP, and I worked with Gideon Ponte, who is an incredible art director,” she explained. “So I’m looking forward to sharing this autobiographical video with the world. I’m very excited. It’s my favorite song on the album.”

As for what’s next for Gaga and India, she tweeted out several photos of herself around town, with the message, “Screw Hollywood. It’s all about Bollywood.”

During her interview, she shared that she hasn’t ruled out some Bollywood-themed projects, explaining, “There’s nothing in the works right now, but I love the culture here and I love Bollywood so who knows?”

Beyonce And Jay-Z Expecting A Baby Girl?

Kelly Rowland seemingly let the news slip on a red carpet in London.

Are Beyoncé and Jay-Z expecting a baby girl? Well, according to one of Bey’s closest friends, the answer is “yes.”

While in London to attend the Cosmopolitan Ultimate Women of the Year Awards on Thursday, it was none other than Beyoncé’s former Destiny’s Child mate Kelly Rowland who let it be known — rather inadvertently, it would seem — that the high-powered couple would be having a girl.

“I’m so happy for my sister and her husband. They’re so happy in this moment right now, as they should be. They made a little bundle of love. I’m so excited for them,” Rowland told U.K. news agency Bang Showbiz. “I have no idea what I’m going to buy Beyoncé at the baby shower because Jay is going to buy that little girl every single thing possible. She won’t be spoiled, but she will be very well looked-after.”

So there you have it. Of course, there’s yet to be an official statement from the couple, and a spokesperson for Beyoncé did not respond to MTV News’ request for comment on the matter.

Last month, Rowland told MTV News that she was excited “to be an auntie” to the couple’s child and added that she can’t wait to babysit. And assuming she hasn’t been placed on Jayoncé’s blacklist for letting the information slip, Rowland also told Bang Showbiz she’s planning to make herself available to help out the couple as much as possible.

“I’ll be on hand for babysitting duties,” she said. “And I’m actually very good with messy diapers.”

Sarah Michelle Gellar is trying to keep daughter Charlotte, 2, off the books. Away from her collection of rare Dr. Seuss tomes, that is.

“I’ve been working on collecting all first editions,” the Ringer star said. “I’d love to have all the first edition Dr. Seusses but it’s very hard to explain to a two year old that she can’t have that Hop on Pop…’These are mommy’s books!’”

Amazon Cloud Player review: functional, not mind blowing, and still US-only

Amazon Android Cloud Player appIt’s hard to believe: our world-spanning network, our Internet, which is the cornerstone of free speech and free society — which, on a good day, is capable of causing populist revolutions – is still crippled by banal geolocation restrictions. We are, of course, talking about Amazon’s two latest offerings, both of which are only available in the United States. Last week it was the excellent Android Appstore for Android, and today it’s the Amazon Cloud Player for Web and Android.

Along with Cloud Player, Amazon also launched Cloud Drive, which is basically just like any other cloud storage digital locker. It’s not particularly feature rich, and there’s no real reason to use it over something like SugarSync or SkyDrive — it does work outside the US, however.

Its primary purpose, as far as we’re concerned, is that it stores your your Cloud Player music in a subdirectory. You get 5GB of Cloud Drive storage for free, and then it’s $1 per gigabyte per year if you need more space.

The Amazon Cloud Player itself will not, to put it bluntly, blow your mind. It works, but it’s very much an early, and possibly rushed, release. Let’s dive in to the Web and Android players for a closer look.

Microsoft: Ballmer didn’t say Windows 8 is coming to phones

Oh, what a difference punctuation makes. Speaking at the company’s shareholders’ meeting earlier today, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer made a remark that set more than a few geek hearts aflutter. According to various reports, he said “We’ve got broad Windows initiatives driving Windows down to the phone with Windows 8.”

Turns out, that’s not how he said it. A Microsoft rep confirmed to us that if transcribed correctly, Ballmer’s remarks (documented in the recording below) should read, “We’ve got broad Windows initiatives driving Windows down to the phone. With Windows 8, you’ll…” By “Windows,” then, he meant the overarching family of software bearing the Windows name, and not Windows 8 specifically. Says Redmond’s PR team:

“He was making a statement along the lines of what we’ve already publicly stated around providing a consistent experience across various devices but all carrying the Windows name.”

Makes sense to us, seeing as how Windows 8 already makes good use of WP7′s Metro UI. Still, we’ll be curious to see how Windows 8 influences Windows Phone once Win 8 gets the final seal of approval, likely sometime next year.

How to subscribe to and set up iTunes Match

Apple just recently launched their iTunes Match service for users in the United States. Subscribing to the service is just about as easy as making an App Store or iTunes music purchase. Once you’re all set up you’ll be able to access your iTunes library via iCloud from devices such as your AppleTV without physically having a computer to stream from.
